About Us
I was 8 years old when I saw my first Star Wars movie and it left an impression on me for life.
I remember hearing about it from other people in my church for months and then finally seeing it with my Dad. I felt connected immediately with the characters and was so awestruck by the sights, sounds and environments of the universe. Right away, I collected as many figures as I could and saved my allowance for everything Star Wars.
Since then, I have built and created dioramas and made hundreds of custom figures. I weather everything in my collection to give it the same ‘used universe’ as in the movies. Every time I sit down and create something new, it's an incredible rush. I love meeting the people every time I travel to shows to trade tips and tricks for customizing.
I became a member of the 501st Legion in 2000 after meeting an active member dressed as a stormtrooper at the 1999 Chicago Comic-Con. I loved his costume and asked 100 questions including where I could get one like his. I soon found a guy who sold LEGION approved armor and bought my kit.
I am currently in the 70 Explorers Garrison based in MO/KS which gives me the opportunity to introduce and bring others to this genre.
In 2022, I started Morlock Ingenuity which is focused on enhancing your action figure collection by giving you diverse and unparalleled options to display your action figures.

Take your thumb and press firmly down on the top of the peg until you hear it snap into place. The pegs fit tightly into each peg hole and are designed to be fully recessed. Once you hear that "snap" after a firm press down, you'll know that your pegs are fully in place. Using a sewing thimble (easily found at your local fabric store or Amazon) for your finger or thumb might be useful if you have sensitive fingers or want a firmer press.
Yes. Placing a tiny drop of super glue in the desired hole just before you put the peg in place will ensure they never go anywhere. It is important to note that firmly placing the pegs in place until they snap will keep them semi-permanently in place.
If you want to get a firmer grip on a peg before removing it, grab a pair of needle nosed pliers, I have a pair of grooved ones that do the trick. Place your hand near the extraction area of the desired peg you would like to pull out to brace the board, then pull straight up.
Yes, just remember to not clog the holes with paint. Thinning your acrylic with water will still allow the paint to get into the cracks of the floor grate design and give you the layered or weathered look you desire.
At this time, the backdrops only come in the set. However, we are planning on offering this in the near future.
I start by washing all of my figures with soap and water using a scrub brush. This gets your surface clean of factory oils and residue. Wipe them down, then let sit on a towel until they are completely dry.
I use matte acrylic paints like Apple Barrel or Liquitex to saturate the surface first. This will get all the paint inside the cracks then use a damp cloth to wipe off the excess paint.
